i’ve been meaning to post a picture of my newest tattoo. it’s an outlined mandebrot set. i created it in matlab and enhanced the image in photoshop. the ink work was done at jinx proof here in georgetown, dc. it’s super nerdy, but i love it.

Wow. The detail is incredible. Very cool. I’m in the process of beginning the process toward getting my first mandelbrot tattoo. Did your guy have any experience with them?
nope, but he did a great job. i rendered the image in photoshop and built the gradients with ink/pigment in mind, and it worked out!

That is so completely awesome. Best mandelbrot tattoo I’ve seen. Any chance you would share the image file you created? Or is copying someone else’s tattoo creepy? I do not know the protocol, haha. O.o
